GRACE PLANET SYLLABUS
DAY1: INTRODUCTION TO THE BIBLE AND THE COVENANTS
In this, the class is given an introduction to the Bible. Principles on how to differentiate the various covenants in the Bible covered under this topic. Some of the covenants are: Adamic, Noahic, Abrahamic, Mosaic, Davidic covenants; which all fall under the Old covenants. And the New covenant, both as a promise and an already achieved reality. By the end of the topic, the participants are able to locate which covenants are in play when they are doing their personal bible studies.
DAY2 : UNDERSTANDING GRACE
This topic provides an in-depth exploration and study of scripture that explains the Gospel of Grace. Various misinterpretations of the Gospel of Grace are addressed under this topic. Furthermore, a clear distinction is struck between Grace and Law to avoid the mixing of the two covenants. This also plays as an introduction to the next three topics to be covered over the next three days.
DAY3: GRACE IN THE FATHER
Under this topic, the participants are taken through a series of scriptures that reveal the heart, mind, plan, and personality of God the Father as expressed by Jesus. The blurred images of who God the Father is are also cleared when undertaking this topic. At the end of the day, participants are able to personally relate with God the Father because of the simple truth that He lives in each believer and has revealed Himself through His Son. God the Father is no longer hidden from the believer.
DAY4: GRACE IN THE SON
The Gospel as written by St. John speaks of Jesus as the personification of Grace and Truth (John 1,17). This is further explored throughout the scriptures, revealing how God’s unmerited favor and blessings towards humanity are all embedded in His Son, Jesus Christ. This opens a doorway for the participants to have and enjoy a very personal relationship with Jesus Christ; receive and walk in the benefits of being found in Him.
DAY5: GRACE IN THE HOLY SPIRIT
Through studying scripture, the participants while undertaking this topic come to a revelation that the Holy Spirit is a person; and not a mere force or inferior in the hierarchy of the Trinity. The spiritual gifts of the Holy Spirit are also explored in depth, to bring the participants to a realization that the gifts are still in operation in the body of Christ today.
In addition, the fruit of the Holy Spirit is also scripturally studied to encourage the believers that the Holy Spirit is still expressing Himself through believers today such as He did back in the early church. At the end of the day, the interested participants are invited to receive Jesus as the Lord and savior; and they are prayed over to receive the Holy Spirit and His gifts.
DAY6: FROM RELIGION TO SPIRITUALITY
The last day is considered a day to dwell into the practical. Under this topic, practical examples are given on how a believer can transition from being religious-minded to being spiritual. Being spiritual simply implies having the Word of God as a mirror for your born again spirit. A few examples are also given on how the Gospel can be effectual in a believer’s personal relationship with God and prayer life; their marriages or single life whether religious or not; their relationships with other believers and non-believers; their work places, finances and businesses; in families and when parenting; and when taking the responsibility of spreading the Gospel to extend the Kingdom of God.
